The UNF Adaptive Toy Project received a grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Of Child Health & Human Development of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number R25HD087971. Fall 2015 - Engineering Special Topics Course:
Another great year for this special topics course. The UNF Adaptive Toy Project course adapted nine (9) ride-on toys and nine (9) small toys for children in the community. For more information of the projects -including pictures and videos- please see the media articles published for the year 2015 in the news section below. March 26th-28th, 2015: 11 undergraduate and graduate students visited the State-of-the-Art Pediatric Mobility Lab and Design Studio at the University of Delaware. Fall 2014 - Engineering Special Topics Course: A new interdisciplinary course was created as part of the UNF Adaptive Toy Project. In this course, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Engineering students under the direct guidance of faculty collaboratively provide assistive technology through custom designed and fabricated adaptive toys for children with disabilities. |
